Brandywine Workshop and Archives is a diversity-driven, nonprofit cultural institution that produces and shares art to connect, inspire and build bridges among global communities. They are a unique art gallery for Philadelphia-area artists and art lovers, and provides a collection of exhibitions and workshops stemming from a diverse range of ages, cultures, genders, etc. Keeping this in mind, I was able to move forward in creating their brand identity.
My process for sketching out logo variations begins with in-depth research into the company’s mission, values, and target audience. I start by brainstorming keywords and concepts that resonate with the brand’s identity, translating these ideas into rough sketches. I experiment with shapes, typography, and symbolism to explore a range of possibilities, ensuring each design communicates the intended message. From there, I refine promising ideas, considering scalability, versatility, and visual impact. This iterative process allows me to craft a thoughtful, unique logo that embodies the essence of the company while remaining functional across various platforms and media.
